Last updated: 23 January 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Teaching Machines platform, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Teaching Machines.

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Teaching Machines is an AI-powered educational platform that enables educators to create and structure learning content, while AI delivers personalized, interactive lessons, dialogues, quizzes, and other educational experiences.

The Service is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional, academic, legal, medical, or any other specialized advice. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy and appropriateness of any content or outputs generated through the Service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts to use the Service independently. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with verifiable parental or guardian consent where required by law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in India).

If accessing the Service on behalf of an organization, entity, or school, you represent that you have full authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. Account Registration and Security

To access certain features, you must register an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your password and account credentials
  • Be fully responsible for all activities occurring under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Upload, transmit, or distribute viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service or others' accounts
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Use AI-generated outputs for illegal, deceptive, or harmful purposes
  • Scrape, copy, or extract data from the Service without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any violation of these Terms.

6. User Content and AI Outputs

User Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload, create, or submit to the Service (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute it solely to provide, maintain, improve, and secure the Service (including AI personalization and features).

AI Outputs

Outputs generated by AI features are provided “as-is”. They may contain errors, inaccuracies, biases, or incomplete information. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and using any AI outputs. We do not endorse or guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any purpose.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, AI models, interfaces, designs, text, graphics, trademarks, and other content (excluding your User Content), is owned by Teaching Machines or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent, except as expressly permitted or required by law.

8. Account Termination and Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through self-service features in your settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, for legal reasons, or to protect the Service, users, or our rights.

Upon termination, access ends, but provisions surviving termination (e.g., IP, disclaimers, liability) remain in effect.

9. Service Availability and Modifications

We aim for reliable availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the entire Service at any time, with or without notice.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Teaching Machines shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount (if any) you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of Stockholm, Sweden.

If you are in India and the Service is offered to you there, certain rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 may apply in addition.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the Service, email, or other means. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
